2001 Crawfishman Triathlon

A good group of area Triathletes ventured down to
Mandeville for this years Crawfishman Triathlon.  John
"Josh" Deshotel finished fourth overall in the male
division and Liz "Hebert" Boudreaux was the first
female finisher.  Brad Ryder, Ed Bulliard and I won
our age groups.  Jim Gross had a great race and Ken
"Turbine" Hainline was too till he flat at mile twelve
on the bike.  Tammy Deshotel did the run leg on a
relay team and smoked the course.  She just didn't
have enough support from the rest of her team. Right
Tammy?  It was a new site this year and a new course
but the same distances.  The lake swim was
challenging, the bike course was a bit rough at times
but seemed fast and the run was on the Lake front
mostly shaded and breezy.  As usual there was great eats after.
